Stop Sexual Violence Collaboration

The Stop Sexual Violence Collaboration (SSV Collab) is founded on the principle that people working together for the common good achieve more than those who work alone.

SSV Collab brings together individuals and enterprises to discuss and facilitate sexual violence prevention and response initiatives. These collaborations aim to provide practical information and tools to help people create behavioural change in their communities.

Sexual Assault Response Guide

Many sexual assault cases will not make it to court and many prosecutions will fail due to a lack of physical evidence. This guide will help victims provide police with more evidence and information to support their case. To learn more, read about the Sexual Assault Response Guide.

Sexual violence is a people issue, not a political issue. SSV Collab is not aligned with any political party because sexual violence affects us all, regardless of our political affiliation. It negatively impacts people of all ages, genders, races, religions, countries and cultures, and we need to work together to stop it.

Lucretia Ackfield

Advocate for Women & Healthy Love
Author & Communications Specialist

Lucretia Ackfield founded the Stop Sexual Violence Collaboration (SSV Collab) in June 2021. Like many Australians, she was increasingly frustrated by the high levels of sexual violence in our communities. She could also see people wanted tools and information to help them create positive changes at a grassroots level rather than waiting for slow legislative and political adjustments.

Lucretia was in her late teens when a friend was sexually assaulted and came to her for support. As a young woman with limited life experience, Lucretia supported her friend but often wondered if she could have done more. In early 2021, while sharing this experience with her friend Erin Cash, a former Detective in the Queensland Police Service, the first SSV Collab initiative – a Sexual Assault Response Guide – was born. The guide empowers victims to collect evidence and addresses the common reality of delayed reporting following a sexual assault.

As a lifelong feminist, Lucretia is passionate about creating a world where equality underpins all relationships, workplaces, social spaces and communities. She is an author and regularly posts about the toxic social conditioning that prevents healthy relationships. She has an advice column called DearLucretia.com and facilitates programs to help women recognise what is real, fake or learned when it comes to self-love and true intimate partnership.

Lucretia is also a communications specialist with more than 20 years experience in the government, not-for-profit, tertiary education and business sectors.
